You Are Never Alone, As Long As You Have Yourself

"You Are Never Alone, As Long As You Have Yourself." - David Julio Wang

Vega (Operacion Triunfo 2)

My quote above recalls a song by Vega from 2003, a Spanish singer from the Spanish equivalent of American Idol.

Quiero Ser Tu, Quiero Ser Yo
I want to be you, I want to be me
Si solo uno, hecho de dos
Only one, who's made of two
Aqui o alli, donde tu estes
Here or there, wherever you are
Tu Esperaras, yo esperare
You'll wait, and I'll wait
No hay nada mas despues de ti
There's nothing else after you
Que hacer si tu no estas aqui
What can I do if you're not there
Cuidando de mi
Taking care of me?

Basically the song is an affirmation by Vega of the fact that ultimately she is the only one who will ever truly be there for her.

Talking To Yourself

It is an interesting phenomenon, talking to oneself.
Everyone does it.
Strange isn't it?
After all, you are yourself.
Why then would you need to talk to yourself?

Simple.
Because one individual is infinitely complex.
There is so much going on in a single person that often it is necessary to address oneself as a 2nd person to be able to pose enquiry into the vast sum of knowledge and idea that a single individual is possessed of.

"I Don't Even Know, What I Know."

A common sentiment.
There is so much a person does not know about themselves, it would require a lifetime to know it all.

That is why,

"Even If The Whole World Abandons You,
You Are Never Alone, If You Have Yourself."

We're All Babies At Something, At Some Point In Our Lives

"We're All Babies At Something, At Some Point In Our Lives.
There's No Shame In A Baby Needing To Crawl Before It Can Walk,
No Shame In A Baby Needing To Walk Before It Can Run."

Everyone finds themselves at a point in their lives where they are learning something new at any given time.

We must be kind to ourselves and allow us to take as long as we need to learn new things,
because it is unkind to rush a baby to walk,
it needs to be given its time to learn on their own,
the same for everyone else.
